A British politician. Derived from the character 'Alan B'stard' a Tory MP played by
Rik Mayall in the classic sitcom 'The new
Statesman.'
B'stard is an unashamedly corrupt, egotistical and thoroughly unpleasant politician, whose political ideals
verge on Facsism. He had to constantly correct people who pronounced his name as 'bastard.'
Ironically, the character bears a remarkable resemblance to Tony Blair - physically, and arguably in other ways too.
