1) Bavarian Backwards Walk, a popular tradition and extreme sport from the region of Bavaria in south Germany. The practice consists of walking backwards up the many mountains of the Bavarian alps. The mountaineers are locally known as hamsters. Once the mountaintop is reached the hamsters will enthusiastically eat traditional German Sahnetorte (Creampie) while enjoying the view.
