Transnistria is historical Romanian land now part of the Republic of Moldova that is occupied by the Russian authorities of the Pridestrovian Moldavian Republic. Transnistria is notable for its numerous
human rights violations against Romanians and Moldovans in the region, such as systematically closing schools teaching Romanian or beating and
jailing people that speaks Romanian in the streets. And still, the authorities of this artificial state claim to be the victims of
Moldovan nationalists.
